second purchase of this driver. mids are forward, highs are good but sometimes abit piercing. need tuning foam or grill cover with center plate to dampen the piercing highs. opened up 1 or 2 outer vent holes to balance out mids, lows and soundstage for instrument. i used velour earpads with perforated leather inner earcup. this profile created a fun signature while still retaining good imaging. for leather inner earcup non perforated, no outer vent holes need to be removed. also center vent hole can be covered to produce a laid back vocal, resulting good overall soundstage and imaging.

A good driver, used on open headphones with perforated leather pads. I also had to open 2 holes in the back to increase the low frequencies and make them less flat.

Second time I buy these drivers. They sound very good, and if the low frequencies aren’t enough you can always open holes in the back. They are at their best after 30 hours.
