These sound surprisingly good, the low frequency extension is limited - but the sound doesn't break up even if you pass them a lot of power without a crossover. I'm actually enjoying listening to them quite a bit, more than I thought I would. I produce music and I initially wanted a pair of 'bad' speakers that I could permanently build into my desk so that I could listen to my mixes on them and if they sound good through these then in theory they should sound good with anything, but actually I would say these far exceed that purpose and if you add some sort of subwoofer they actually make a great small speaker. I'd even consider buying a few more of these and a small sub to make a portable speaker and cover it with a prettier grille as a fun project, they sound that good.

Great product, fits great, excellent isolation and comfort, excels over other ear plugs.
